As a Davenport University student, completing my internship at Stout Law PLLC was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The knowledge I gained from working in such a close, collaborative environment is something I know I wouldn’t have experienced at other law firms.
Learning directly from Attorney Stout, who is incredibly knowledgeable with an impressive background in law, made this experience truly special. He takes the time to explain things thoroughly and has open, thoughtful conversations about his experiences and insights, which have greatly expanded my understanding of the law and helped deepen my knowledge of the field.
I’m especially grateful to Lee, Attorney Stout’s legal assistant, for her extensive knowledge and support. She not only took the time to make sure I understood my responsibilities, but also provided valuable insights into legal procedures, offering guidance that helped me grow both professionally and personally. Her willingness to check in and ensure I was comfortable and confident in my work was something I greatly appreciated. The entire team, including Trevin and Anorah, works incredibly well together, creating a dynamic and collaborative environment that fosters growth. Their teamwork has allowed me to see firsthand how such a well-coordinated group can provide exceptional outcomes for clients and create an atmosphere where interns like me are encouraged to learn and improve.
What stands out most is how genuine everyone at Stout Law is. From the very first day, they made me feel welcome and supported, knowing this was my first legal job. Everyone was understanding and patient, always doing what they could to help me understand my tasks and grow in my role. They truly show God's love through their actions, treating everyone with kindness and respect. The team is not only knowledgeable and caring but also deeply dedicated to their work and to providing the best possible outcomes for their clients. They go above and beyond, doing whatever it takes to ensure that their clients receive the best possible representation.
This internship has been a transformative experience for my academic and professional career. It’s given me a clearer vision of the type of environment I want to be part of in the future and how I want to treat others around me. I also want to give a huge shout-out to the Stout family as a whole for being so welcoming and caring. Stout Law is a phenomenal place to work, and seeing firsthand how they interact with and care for their clients has taught me invaluable lessons about professionalism, respect, and empathy. Whether you’re considering an internship or a job here, I cannot recommend it enough.
